A few years ago I wrote a nifty plugin that allowed you to delete your friends on Facebook in bulk. But every now and then, Facebook would make regular changes to their site which in turn broke the plugin.
I tried hard to update it as often as possible with each Facebook update – to keep it working but after a year of maintaining this plugin, I ended up being unmotivated and preferred to focus my energy on some more interesting projects.
Recently, I have been getting around 50 requests a week by email and countless messages left on my Facebook fan page (yes, that much!) to fix the plugin again. My first thought was – Hey I’ll just make a quick google search and send them an alternative methods or plugins to help them delete their facebook friends.
But to my surprise, every single link I clicked it seems that there was no easy way to delete your facebook friends list easily and other plugins out there seem to be outdated.
I just thought I would roll up my sleeve and build up a new plugin from the ground up again to help these poor souls to clear up their Facebook friends lists. 
Delete Facebook friends in bulk
So here you go guys, let me (re)introduce you to Facebook Friends Exterminator – a chrome extension that allows you to delete your Facebook friends in bulk.
The reason I originally built this extension is because there’s no easy way to delete multiple friends on Facebook in one go. Unless you have a lot of time in your hands, you can hover each of your friend that you want to delete, wait for the unfriend option to appear and then wait for the page to refresh before deleting another one.
How it works.
For now, the plug in is available for Chrome users only since it is the most popular browser out there. All you have to do is to download and install it. You will find a checkbox next to each of your friend’s name on your Friend list page. Tick the ones that you want to delete and click on “Delete Selected Friends” button at the top-right. It is that easy!
- 1.Down and install Facebook Friends Exterminator.
- 2.Head over to your Facebook friend page
- 3.You should now see a checkbox next to each of your friend’s name.
- 4.Select all the friends whom you want to delete.
- 5.Click on the Delete Selected Friends button.
